MEET HELOIZA

Delivering Results for Our Community

Heloiza A. Correa, originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has been a resident of Miami-Dade County for over 32 years. She pursued her higher education at Florida International University, where she obtained dual bachelor's degrees in political science and international relations. Heloiza then continued her studies at the University of Miami School of Law, graduating in December 2009.

Following her passion for justice, Heloiza A. Correa embarked on her legal career as a prosecutor at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office in March 2010. During her tenure, she earned numerous promotions and accolades, including recognition from MADD for her outstanding work with the families of victims in a DUI manslaughter case. Heloiza A. Correa proudly served her community for three and a half years, gaining extensive experience in litigation by successfully handling cases ranging from misdemeanors to first-degree murder.

In 2013, Heloiza A. Correa joined a Miami-based law firm in Brickell, focusing on general business, commercial real estate, commercial litigation, probate, trust, and guardianship litigation. Three years later, she established her own law firm, specializing in commercial litigation, complex business litigation, and construction litigation. Throughout her career, Heloiza A. Correa has demonstrated her courtroom prowess, having conducted 33 jury trials to verdict, over 60 bench trials, and participated in numerous mediations.

In addition to her professional commitments, Heloiza Correa actively engages with various voluntary bar associations, including MDFAWL (where she co-chaired the CLE committee in 2021 and 2022 and served as co-chair for the Judicial Reception Committee in 2022), the League of Prosecutors, the American Bar Association, the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Coral Gables Bar Association and the Judicial Luminaries & Law Library Gala's Judicial Selection Committee for the Trailblazer award.

Beyond her involvement in the legal community, Heloiza Correa dedicates herself to volunteering at her children's school, the Lotus House, and the Little Lighthouse Foundation. Her commitment to both professional excellence and community service demonstrates her multifaceted contributions and dedication to making a positive impact.
